JUPITER once ordered all the birds to appear before him so that he might choose the most beautiful bird to be the king of the birds.
The ugly jackdaw thought, he was the most ugliest bird of all and he knew that he couldn't be the king.
He wanted to be the king of the birds so he was collecting all the feathers which had fallen from the other birds and he attached them to his own body and appeared at the front of Jupiter. He was looking very happy.
When the other birds saw him with their feathers
stuck on him, they started shouting to him. And
then......
"Hold!" said Jupiter; "this self-made bird has
more sense than anyone of you. He is your king."
