Once there was an Ass who asked a Horse to share with him a small part of his meal.
"Yes," said the Horse; "if any of the food remains out of what I am now eating, I will give it to you for the sake of my superior self-esteem, and when you will come to my own stall when I reach in the evening, I will give you a little sack full of barley."
The Ass replied, "Thank you Sir. But I don't think that you, who reject me a little matter now, will by and by present on me a greater benefit."
