You are now in 13th week of your pregnancy and the fetal age is 12 weeks, 3 days.
In this pregnancy week ...- Baby's nose and lips are completely formed; baby is now preparing its vocal chords from this week onwards.
- Baby begins to produce and excrete urine. The pancreas of your little one is even secreting insulin. All twenty teeth have formed and are waiting, however teething happens only after birth.
- Baby's intestines are migrating from the umbilical cord into his or her abdomen. The villi are also forming in the intestines, these help in peristaltic movements and digestion. Meconium, the baby's first stool, is developing.
- The fine hair covers the surface of baby's body and serves to protect its skin when it is floating around in all that water.
- Fine connections between baby's brain, muscles and nerves have all formed and they are able to move freely and use their muscles to push and pull themselves into various positions.
- Baby will grow to average length of about 2.91 inches or 7.4 centimeter Crown to Rump (CR) and weighs about 0.81 ounce or 23 grams towards the ends of this week.
First trimester starts on very first day of your last menstrual cycle on 03-Feb-2025 and ends on 28-Apr-2025
Second trimester is from 29-Apr-2025 to 11-Aug-2025
While Third trimester begins 12-Aug-2025 onwards.
The expected date of birth of your baby is 10-Nov-2025, however depending upon fetal growth and your age, the baby may be born between 27-Oct-2025 and 17-Nov-2025.
